OMGHive's editorial mission is to cover the internet's most viral and significant stories with accuracy, context, and genuine value for the reader. We believe viral news and high editorial standards are not opposites — they are complementary. A story can be fascinating and fact-checked at the same time.

Story Selection

We select stories based on the following criteria:

• The story is generating significant public interest or social media discussion
• The story has a verified primary source (news agency, official statement, peer-reviewed study, or direct evidence)
• The story has genuine relevance or impact for our readers
• The story has not been covered with adequate context by major outlets
• The story can be reported without causing unnecessary harm

We do not publish rumors, unverified claims, or stories that exist only on social media without corroboration from a credible primary source.

Verification Standards

What We Publish

• Verified viral news stories with full context and primary sources
• How-To guides based on current events — actionable steps readers can take today
• Analysis of why a story matters and what it means for readers
• Multilingual versions of all stories for global accessibility

What We Do Not Publish

• Unverified rumors or social media speculation without primary source confirmation
• Content designed solely to generate clicks without genuine informational value
• Sponsored or paid editorial content without clear disclosure
• Content that invades individual privacy or causes disproportionate harm
• Hate speech, discrimination, or content that incites violence

Use of Artificial Intelligence

OMGHive uses AI technology as part of our editorial workflow. We are transparent about this. Our AI systems assist with:

• Drafting initial article text based on verified news sources
• Translating articles into five languages for global accessibility
• Generating How-To guides based on current news events
• Suggesting story angles and contextual information

All AI-generated content is reviewed against our editorial standards before publication. Our editorial team is responsible for the accuracy and quality of every published article, regardless of how it was produced. We do not publish AI output without human editorial oversight.

Advertising & Commercial Independence

OMGHive is funded through display advertising (Google AdSense). Our advertising relationships have absolutely no influence on our editorial decisions. We do not accept money to write about products, companies, or individuals. All advertising is clearly separated from editorial content and labeled as such.

Corrections & Updates

We correct errors promptly and transparently. When we make a factual error:

• We correct the error in the article as soon as it is verified
• We add a visible correction notice at the top of the article noting what was changed and when
• We do not silently delete or alter articles to hide errors
• For significant errors, we publish a standalone correction notice

Privacy & Data

We respect the privacy of private individuals. We do not publish identifying information about private citizens without their consent.
