What Happened
According to an account to TASS, a swarm of at least eight Shahed‑136 drones entered Russian airspace shortly after 02:00 GMT on Saturday. The drones were launched from the Belgorod region, crossed the border and were intercepted over Moscow Oblast by the Russian air‑defence system. Two of the unmanned aircraft broke through and struck the industrial town of Lukhovitsy, igniting a fire at a residential building and killing a 42‑year‑old man and his 17‑year‑old son. Simultaneously, another drone slammed into the Moscow Oil Refinery No. 1, rupturing a fuel storage tank and causing a five‑minute blaze that was contained by refinery crews.
